Blog #4

When nobody is around do you act different or when there is authority? I know that when I'm with my friends and there is no authority we all act I little bit crazier because like to have fun.I think that everyone loosens up when there is no authority because when there is everyone had to be more aware of what they are doing so that they dont get in trouble.
The boys on the island seemed to be living it up for a party but when the tragity hits them they realize that even with no authority someone is going to have to step up and become the leader and set up some rules with a guideline. In the beginning Ralph was happy that there no adults around because now the kids can do whatever they like

Quote: "Does being civilized make you incapable of giving the creatures around you a little space in which to live?" (Quinn, 246)

Question: What's incapable?

Comment: to be incapable means to not be able to do something and in this quote it is saying that just because we are civilized doesnt man we have to destroy our planet.

question:How according to Ishmael can we save the world? And according to you?

A: According to Ishmael we can save the world by changing the minds of people. And the takers need to become leavers that is Ishmael s way of saving the world.the way that i think we can save the world is by just getting the things we need so that way we have less waste and at the same time we stop world hunger.

does civilization= destruction? I believe that civilization can create destruction but not all the time for example if you look at the animal civilization they do not use more then what they need but on the other hand the civilization of man takes more then what they need and by doing that they cause destruction because they take more then what they need

During 1936-1939 Robert Capa took photographs of the Spanish Civil War. Death of a Loyalist Soldier is the photograph our group recreated. As you can see the soldier is by himself. This picture is actually a real shot. Robert Capa quotes that if your pictures aren’t good enough, you aren’t close enough. The inspiration of the artist is a republican soldier.
This picture shows a dying republican soldier in the outskirts of Spain. The photo shows a Spanish republican soldier getting shot. This symbolizes what happened in real life which is that the republicans lost the war to fascist dictator Francisco Franco. This scene is taking place in a war zone in the fields of Spain. This photo captures not only a soldier but also, the scenery around our campus is very much like the arid landscapes the Spaniards fought on in 1936. There is a lot of emotion in this photo because of the facial expression given off by the actor. In the background you can also see a republican flag. We took this picture out in the fields in front of our school. Once we had the black and white pictures we made them in the dark room
